‘The Christmas Campaign’ actress and the rapper dated for a brief period back in 2003

Vivica A. Fox has recently made rare comment about her lifelong connection with former flame 50 Cent.
The actress, who is currently promoting her new Lifetime holiday movie The Christmas Campaign, discussed her relationship with 50 Cent, whom she briefly dated in 2003 at the It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday event last week.
Calling the rapper “a gift”, Fox told PEOPLE, “To be honest, it’s kind of like the gift that keeps on giving.”
“We’re friends. There’s no negativity,” declared the 61-year-old.
Fox also gave a reference of her latest comment she made about the rapper at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Edison, N.J.
“Don’t date 50 Cent. Don’t date no rappers,” when asked to give advice to young women pursuing their dreams,” she jokingly told a crowd at the time.
But now, the actress opened up about 50 Cent reaction to the comment, adding, “This time it was positive.”
“Everyone got a good chuckle out of it, and it was refreshing to not fight with him,” stated Fox.
Earlier in a November 18 episode of Sherri, hosted by Sherri Shepherd, the actress clarified her comment about the singer.
“We’re no longer fighting, y’all … You know you got that one [person] that you always got a little special place for … We are in a good place,” she further said while speaking to Shepherd.
