Kim Zolciak claims Kroy Biermann ‘cheated’ as she breaks silence on split
Kim Zolciak is speaking publicly for the first time about what she says led to her split from Kroy Biermann.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 47, and the ex-NFL player, 40, originally separated in May 2023 following 12 years of marriage. Though they briefly called off their divorce that July, Biermann filed again in August 2023, and the two have since been locked in a difficult and highly contentious legal battle.
At BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Zolciak claimed their marriage ended because Biermann was unfaithful.
When asked by Entertainment Tonight what the “final straw” was, she answered, “He cheated.” The admission stunned her daughter Ariana, 24, who joined her for the interview and reacted, “Holy s—.”
During a panel talk with Brittany Cartwright, Denise Richards and Luann de Lesseps, Zolciak said her relationship with her estranged husband is now “impossible.” She explained that their divorce has drained “lots of money” with “no movement” toward a resolution.
She also expressed concern about the impact on their four children — Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11 — adding, “There’s no co-parenting, it’s disturbing. If you only knew. As much as I would love to share the truth, I won’t, because I have children. You don’t bash the mother of your children. Their stability is in my own.”
Despite the ongoing turmoil, Zolciak said she is thriving in a new relationship. She shared that she and her boyfriend, whom People magazine confirmed she has been seeing since March, connected instantly.
“I’m a Taurus, guys. I’m loyal to a fault. We went on our first date, and we’ve been together ever since,” she said. Although she prefers to keep the romance private, she noted growing curiosity about his identity, revealing that “somebody had the paparazzi outside his house recently.”
She said they bonded because they are “both going through divorces for the exact same reason,” calling it a connection formed through “horrible circumstances.”
Zolciak told ET she is “happy as hell” and “at peace,” clarifying rumours that her boyfriend is still married. “I’m legally married and so is he. So, he’s been going through a divorce for years as well, and so have I,” she explained.
“So I don’t know – I’m supposed to wait til I’m legally divorced? I don’t think Kroy will ever give me a divorce.”
